Parker was raised in California and has worked in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland, Chicago, New York, and now Marin County, CA. She is a graduate of Brown University, where she earned a BA with honors, and she completed one year of graduate study at Yale University School of Art in the MFA Graphic Design program. In fine arts, Parker is self-taught.

In her work, Parker paints freehand and creates abstracted environments that explore the contrast between geometric concepts and physical expressions of geometric form. The resulting landscapes are both imagined and familiar. She is inspired by the works of Wassily Kandinsky, Henri Matisse, Frank Stella, Ruth Asawa, and Monir Farmanfarmaian.

Parker’s work is in numerous public and private collections. She shows regularly in gallery shows and national juried exhibitions. Her paintings have been included in such magazines as Sunset and CA Home + Design, and she has been profiled on CBS Bay Channel 5. Online, Parker's work has been highlighted by Saatchi Art and HuffPost. In 2015, Parker did a three month residency at the San Franciso Palace of Fine Arts.

Parker is represented by Andra Norris Gallery and SFMOMA Artist’s Gallery.
